This blog is a way to share my love of mathematical models. If you have ever enjoyed puzzles, algebra, chess and other intellectual pursuits, you may find this blog entertaining and may learn something in the process.
In Boston the situation is slightly different with our T drivers. Green lights signal Go. Yellow lights indicate Accelerate. Red lights suggest slow down for .5 seconds and then Accelerate as with Green. I don’t think it changes the results for your analysis as it just decreases the wait time altogether (and increases the “thrill” of the ride).
